No Pink in My Pink Lemonade

No Yellow in My Pink Lemonade

I have intense pink color, but no yellow (very little pale yellow anyways). Any idea why, or what I can do to get that yellow color back in my PL?

how long has it been it your tank..where is it placed...lighting?

Funny never saw anything but pink polyps it's either bright yellow or green with pink polyps... Never saw pink on the body...

I'm gonna guess it's been in my tank 6+ months. About 12 inches under 6x24W T5's.

....and I guess I kinda misspoke about the coloring. It's the bright pink polyps that give the coral a nice bright pink color, and the branches are very pale yellow, almost white. Grows great though.

Prolly getting to much light then.. Up high it gets bright yellow down lower it gets the green...

It's up high, and no yellow though. I don't really have the option of lowering it as its pretty well encrusted on the rock it's on.

pl can take a lot of light. colors can vary depending on growth of a branch. provide a clear pic or raise lights

Do you think only having a skimmer and fuge running with chaeto would produce too ULN system? It's a 50 gallon tank with only 4 fish. Pair of saddleback clowns, Kole tang, and six line wrasse. So pretty light bioload.

Combination maybe of not enough food and too much light.

Pic is kinda underexposed. It's actually quite a bit brighter pink.

I think you are talking about a different pink lemonade than others are.

Anythings possible. Our local high end coral guy I bought this from sold it to me as a pink lemonade. I was looking for ATL's Shades of Fall and he said this was the same thing but went under the name of pink lemonade. Can't remember if it was Tyree, etc., etc., regardless, when I got it, it was yellow with the pink polyps you see. Now I don't have any yellow anymore.

That looks nothing like my "pink lemonade".

Mine is yellow body/polyps green around polyps, and a blue edge to the base of it...wish I had more pink, but it looks better than it did in my old tank (brown).

That's not a pink lemonade or shades of fall and fwiw those pieces are not even close to being the same... You have a pink Millie there maybe a red planet if anything...
