When I've seen zoas/paly in person or in pics, it's the big patches and gardens that impress. Not some macro shot of a few zoas on a plug or a plethora of 10 -12 zoas scattered on the tank bottom with the ugly plug and discs showing.

How bout some pics without any plug/discs. I want to see these corals in all their glory in a natural setting. I'll get it started.........even somehting that isn't ubber rare can look much nicer.

What are those in pic two?they almost look black! Pretty cool! Not sure if pic one is same but I can't see pic one.
 
Now that is what my ultimate goal is and why I set up a reef tank!! All those pictures were fantastic. I want that overgrown "we have been here for awhile" feel to my tank

Just kidding!!! I'm with you man. Anyone can buy a frag and take macro shots (nothing wrong with it, i do it too.) Seeing a real colony is what i like.

Those are Mary Janes. They are are dark purple with orange mouths.
