Yes you can still use it. You should start to lower the dosage until you find the dose that maintains the level you're looking for. Wait a few days between lowering the dose and checking the nitrate level to see the full results.
If you stop dosing do not stop cold turkey it won't end well.

Ok thanks. I'm dosing 1ml now but with water change nitrate level is still high. I think k I'll just continue dosing 1ml for now

It's meant to be used daily for the best results. Once your tank is within your target parameters, you make adjustments in your dosage to maintain. You'll know you;re doing something out of whack when; one, you get cyano, that means your nitrates are too low and your phosphates are too high in relationship. If your nitrates are still within range, then you'll need to do something about your phosphates or dial back a bit and let your nitrates rise a bit to balance the situation. 2nd; you get this pink slime substance, then just dial back on your daily dosage a bit. It can be a great tool when you have a heavy bioload that's hard to maintain.

I am dosing nopox for a second time. These are my observations. My first attempt a year ago resulted in a “white slimey substance” outbreak on rocks and in the sump that I suspect was a form of bacteria from too much nopox, too soon. This time I am going much slower with better results...so far. The tank is only about 4 months old with good live rock from my previous tank. I have a total water volume of around 170 gallons. I do a 40 gallon water change once a month. I’m also running carbon and GFO. A heavy bioload with 20 fish, mostly small fish, (Anthias/reef chromas/fairy wrasse, others in the same size range. Larger fish are a rabbit fish and a sail fin tang and a Kole tang.) I’m certain I feed on what would be considered the heavy side. A 4”x 4” nori sheet daily, small amount of flakes once daily from an auto feeder for the anthias, and frozen food in the evening, reefroids. I’m only dosing 3 ml of NOPOX daily, that’s far less than is recommended. My nitrates are consistently running around 5. I have a small amount of the “white slimey stuff” showing in my return chamber in the sump that I assume is due to the nopox. (I don’t know that for a fact.) I’m going very slow after the major slime outbreak on my first nopox attempt a couple of years ago. So far so good this time. I am hopeful that my nitrates stay in check this time and I’m hopeful that it is a result of the nopox.
