need help with dosing no pox
I have a 20im tank
mostly sps dominant
my phosphates are .025 and nitrates have shot up to 40 to 50 ppm so my acros are suffering
alk 10
salinity 35ppt
calcium 450ppm
mg 1400 ppm
how much should I start dosing to bring to bring it down to a desirable amount

Do you have a skimmer to export the bacteria that you are going to be growing? Do you have good flow to keep the water oxygenated? Do you fully understand what organic carbon dosing does, what are the pros and cons and what the unintended consequences have been to people using organic carbon in SPS reefs as compared to mixed reefs or fish only tanks? Is 20im a 20 gallon tank - most don't know the lingo like asking for help with a 2n3sZ engine instead of just saying a Ford 289? If so, how big is the sump and total water volume.

This stuff can work if done slowly and in the right circumstances, but also can do some serious damage if used even slightly wrong. Be careful and think of everything.

I'm new to this hobby but i do have some (not so good) experience w/NOPOX.
I followed the instructions exactly and it made my water extremely cloudy.
My suggestion is to start with less than half of the recommended dose. In my case that is 1.5/ml per 25 gallons.
Do not dose daily as suggested but rather every other day until you reach your desired levels.
The slower the better with this stuff.

1ml per 25g daily to start.
Try NOT to miss a day but if you do, don’t double dose.
Takes a couple of months.
Watch nitrates weekly.
As long as it’s going down a bit weekly, don’t change the dose.
If after several weeks it doesn’t budge, increase by 1ml per day.
NEVER make big changes with this stuff.
Been using Nopox for 4 years now.
Brought down nitrate from 50 to 5ppm in 4 months and my nitrates remain 5 four years later.

You can also go to the Red Sea website and enter your tank volume and authenicate your dosing amount.
