If you decide to carbon dose or use the NO-POX, is this considered keeping an ULNS??? If yes, do I need to shoot for lower alk like 7-8 and calcium around 400? or can I just be in the normal range that it usually says....Obviously whatever the parameter is, it needs to be as stable as possible!! just curious

No, the method does not make it ULNS. I use a lot of vinegar and use GFO on my system and it definitely is not a ULNS system.

It all depends on the relative nutrient additions and exports.

Yeah that makes sense....if I start to carbon dose do I still do normal amount of water changes or do I do them a little less?? Right now I do 20 gallon every week on my 180....also I run gfo and carbon...I've read that you run both along with your carbon dosing, so I will continue to do also then
