Hey guys, my qt/filter/heater were stored high up and everything fell and shattered and now I have new fish coming and no qt/filter/heater and I dont have the funds right now to buy a new set up. So this time I just have to roll the dice and add them to the display. I want to know, is there a dip or bath or anything I can do preventivley while acclimating that would help at all? Or should I medicate food immediately after adding them? Or just wait and see? (mag foxface and blue throat trigger, both about 3 inches incoming). Thank you.

FW dip at the least. Temp match, dip after acclimating.

There’s a new hydrogen peroxide dip method.

Get a used freshwater setup on Craigslist , they are typically $10-$30.

You can use a rubbermaid as a QT, it doesn't have to be an actual tank. Those are pretty inexpensive if you don't already have one around. Or maybe a local reefer could loan you something.

A bucket could work in a pinch depending on fish size. Just need to be able to mount the filter. Keep the room temp constant and should work short term. An air stone could help to since limited surface area in the bucket
