No reading ammonia

Hi everyone new here!

I just started a new saltwater tank. I'm using api test kit and my ph is 8.0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 phosphate 0 but ammonia is blue chart goes from yellow to dark green, no blue so I'm high on ammonia o don't have ammonia? Exp 2024 tested tap water came good bought a new kit still came blue tap water came good. Need help thanks in advance!

Read up on tank cycling in the beginner's forum. There's no reason to obsessively test during cycling. There's going to be ammonia, and eventually it will go away. Wait several weeks before testing again, that is what I would do. No sense waiting for the pot to boil.
