No Water Changes FOWLR?

I was wondering how I could go without water changes in a fish only system. What parameters are important for FOWLR? & Is dosing or anything of the sort necessary to keep the tank afloat?

You have 2 main options: biopellets/carbon dosing or a refugium. A refugium with a strong proper light (as well as trace element supplementation like chaetogro) will take care of nitrate and phosphate and has little risk compared to carbon dosing. These will both take care of nitrate and phosphate which are the main things you should test. If you want coraline you may need to test like you would for corals. Just make sure you run good carbon either way to remove organics that build up overtime.

that’s funny, I have all that already bc I thought it was a necessity & that in order to get to no water changes I had to take additional steps. I have a well lit fuge with chaeto, a carbon/gfo reactor & an oversized skimmer 2x+ the volume of my tank
