Switched too much rock at one time.[emoji857][emoji51][emoji53][emoji47][emoji27]

Well im fighting a no3 spike. Im doing my 4 w/c in the morning. Dosing prime before adding the new water. Ive been doing about 20 to 30% w/c at a time. Should i do more will that help? Havent lost anything [emoji120]. But my levels are not droping still around 20 to 40ppm. How can this last.
Dnt know what i was thinking switching that much rock at one time. Learning my lesson best way i guess[emoji27]. Never hapin again.
Anything i could do to raise my no loss chances. Havnt got a reply about moving livestock to qt or if that would just add stress. Someone anyone tell me sumthing good. Thanks
No3 kinda siting at 40ppm after w/c

prime will provide readings of ammonia because it doesn’t break ammonia down into nitrite instead it locks ammonia in a safe dormant state. It will eventually start breaking down when your bio filter is up too speed but will take some time and that amount of time depends on your bio filter strength and amount of prime in the water

I had a similar problem - get some biospira and dose ~ 7 ml into your system and wait 2 days then retest - you should probably be fine afterwards

Thank you i would not have known that. Im adding prime with the fsw so thn my levels may not have been jumping to much. Well i will wait a day or 2 before another w/c and check perams. Thank you i probly would of been doin w/c for a week or until i ran out of prime. Lol....

Haha yea it freaked me out my first time figuring it out but thanks to R2R it didn’t take me to long to find out why ammonia was just getting darker on my api test kit
