Hello everyone..
I'm a tank 150 g.
4 months old.. now my po4 is, almost 0.
Salifert test show 0. My nitrate is,around 10ppm.. ..
I have been trying several method s to low but nothing.
I'm thinking to add vodka or vinegar but my tank ph always is,around 7.8 and 8.
I dobt know if is good idea vodka dosing?
What do you think?

Why do you want to lower nitrates below 10 ppm? Many people aim to maintain nitrates between 5 and 10 ppm. 10 ppm is the upper end of that range, but it's by no means out of control or too high. Some even choose to maintain nitrates higher than that.

What are you trying to accmplish

Cause

I have a diatom problem on sand and rocks..
I think if the no3 down a little maybe 2 or 3ppm will be better.

diatom's not a bad thing
tanks at 4 months old
new tank
they'll go on there own as tank matures

Reducing nitrates is not a typical method for controlling diatoms. Diatoms are usually a phase in a reef tank's cycle and will go away on their own. You'll want to make sure your source water is sufficiently pure. Have you tested the effluent TDS on your RO/DI system lately?
