I would like to start doing some No3Po4 to reduce my nitrates.

Can I start with 50% of the recommended dose? I'm just weary to add chemicals to my tank. Also, can I stop when I achieve a number I like or do I have to continue with it forever? Thanks!

Personally not a fan of adding chemicals to remove things , more of a natures way .....refugiums and good housekeeping. Looked up the product and if it does what it says it does sounds good . Curious now , will be following.

When you learn where exactly and how no3 builds up it may be easier to control the source of the no3

Yes, it is perfectly fine to add it as slowly as you want.

FWIW, degradation of organics, including the specific components of vinegar and vodka is perfectly natural. It happens on a huge scale in the ocean. :)
