Noisy AquaClear HOB

I replaced the shaft and impeller but it's still rather noisy. I've never purchased one new so maybe they're just not very quiet? Or should I also get a replacement pump as well?

They are very quiet. Try soaking the pump in water and vinegar

That's what I tried before replacing the impeller and shaft. Well, I guess I didn't soak it overnight or anything. I did my usual spray with rodi/vinegar mix and scrub with a toothbrush. It looks clean. I'll try soaking it overnight, see if that helps. Thanks!

I has a noisy return pump on my tank and I scrub with a tooth brush and it was still noisy. So I soaked overnight and it was back to being nice and quiet

I second on fishing it overnight in a vinegar mixture with water... should clean it up and make it very quiet again.
