Ive got a 1k Icecap gyre that I just added to my tank, and its quiet for about an hour before it starts to make a whining noise. It's clean, so I know thats not the issue. It's driving my wife insane so I need to find a fix. Any suggestions? I've got it on the alternating flow mode, so it's random flow.

Was it new?

Not seated correctly, missing or damaged bushings.
Disassemble and check bushings seated flat, and reassemble.
Run it in a bucket so it’s easier to play with.
When it starts to buzz, move outlets back and forth to see if it runs quiet. Slightly twist each end in opposite directions to see if she runs quiet.
