Hi All,

My overflow is making so much noise I'm sure it's not normal. The amount of water being pushed through the tank to the Overflow box is what's causing this noise. I've tried adjusting the water height using the valve but no matter what I do it's either too low and will keep making this noise or too high that water escapes from the emergency drain. Any thoughts?

Extend the drain some to make it higher in the box or raise the level close to the top of the emergency. Make sure your main drain is around an inch under the water in the sump.

Looks like you have one drain only?. I fixed mine with a DIY Hofer Gurgle Buster. Absolutely silent now.

Wow i feel like a moron now. I just added a coupling to the main drain to extend it up a few inches and it's 100% silent lol

Try taking more time to see the outcome of your adjustments. Small change to the valve and wait for a bit for the system to balance out. Then, adjust the valve again. Could take several days to iron this out.
I have a small trickle down my emergency overflow as I read on here from a long term member that it was a good idea.

No it wasn't gurgle noise. It was waterfall noise from the low water level in the overflow box. Fixed it with the first piece of advice by raising the main drain a few inches

Got it. Glad to know it worked out!

Nah we all have said " Dang that's noisy for some reason." at one time or another.
I did 2 days ago and realized my aqua lifter stopped keeping up with ato demands.
