Noisy powerheads vs fish?!

Hi peeps quick question as can't find anything on google to satisfy me.

Jecob powerheads, yes they noisy buggers but human ears can get amune to them and shut off the sound. Can fish do the same??

These powerheads sound like an old 1990's computer hard drive trying to load a program!! Ha .. anyway what I'm getting is I've got 3 heads in the water they are good/powerful wave makers but come with noise, will this stress the fish?

Actually 10 feet under the surface is pretty quiet.

Guess I was going off a documentary that said sound was one of the ways that fish found reefs, and talked about them being noisy and played audio... can't remember which one it was something on pbs probably..
