noisy pump/ filtration

Hey guys, im running a brand new Aquaclear 110 and noticed it is super noisy! Ive read you can try lubing the impeller shaft and that might quiet it down.

first question..

has anyone found any success with this and is there anything else i can do? Im very tempted to switch to a TIDAL 75. I've heard that the motors are very quiet.

I really appreciate any insight into either the TIDAL or trying to quiet down the AC.

Yep. Used this stuff. Had to do it twice. Easy to do. Coat the impeller shaft lightly. You may find it doesn't turn at first due to the tension created by the coating. Try plug/unplugging it a couple of times. Or give it a push with a straw or similar item. So quiet now. Big fan of Aquaclear.
