Noisy return help needed

I installed a reefsavy ghost overflow on my new 240 build. But the problem is how LOUD the water is flowing down the drain pipe down to the basement sump. I also installed a 1” tube in the hole in the main overflow pipe. Please help as this thing is LOUD. Main drain has the valve on it

I had the same problem with my ghost. It was just air in the drain line gurgling around. This did the trick instantly. Literally, the second I "burped" it, it went silent.

Nice but what trick exactly did you try? Mine isn’t gurgling, it’s just the sound of running water going down and through the pipe

Just removed the cap on the top of the drain line to release the pressure and let the water flow freely. Mine was so loud before this, I couldn't even have a conversation in the room.
 
Can you show a pic from your overflow with the drain pipes?

Are you trying to run a Herbie style and in that case did you try tuning it to how it's supposed to work? Or are you trying to run two Durso's?

And btw, why all the bends and curves on the drain pipes?

Not sure what style of overflow this would be called but I have not adjusted the valve on the overflow. It’s completely open.

In terms of the bends. I ran the system to the basement and had to avoid electrical and HVAC vents in the wall and below the floor. So I had no choice but to run the drain to either side of the aquarium. I chose this side because the electrical for the tank is on the other side

Ok! The one in the pic looks like a Beananimal (three drain pipes) but if you are running two it's a Herbie style. Anyway, the way it's supposed to work is that the main drain is going to run a full siphon with no air. You start with the pipe fully open and slowly dial it back until it's silent and the flow is restricted to just below the flow from your return pump so that the water level slowly rises and spills over into the second drain pipe. It's just supposed to trickle at the most down the second one. If you manage to get it right it's dead silent. A pipe that has a continuous full siphon is silent and a pipe with less than around 25% water compared to air is also silent. So it's just a matter of finding the right balance.
 
And these were the bends I was curious about... :) The lower I can understand is to clear the valve but the upper one?

I had to go in front of the return pipe and back down. So I could not run it straight over then down. I will get a side pick showing it
