Noisy skimmer

So I noticed tonight that my skimmer was making far more noise than normal. I did some checking and if I pull off the intake silencer tube it is absolutely quiet. This is the intake tube for the pump, the one the air line is hooked to. Put it back and the noise returns. Its not just the sound of air its more like a harmonic resonance.

This skimmer is a simplicity 540DC. Its been running great for the past month and a half, this seems to have started today. Any suggestions?

Did you pull it apart and clean it? My tunze 9004 dc airline that goes to the impeller get clogged as it’s a very small hole to begin with and makes a lot of noise sometimes like a gurgling noise reminds me when I need to clean it.
