My output or whatever you want to call it is super noisy it sounds like it’s gurgling does anyone have any idea why that is and/or how to fix it? The water is cloudy because I just set it up and the sand is clearing it is a Nuvo EXT 30 gallon. Thank you guys!

is that an elbow on the other overflow hole? if so that's probably what is making the noise. tanks like that have one taller pipe that sits in that overflow chamber and then the other hole should only have a small little attachment to attach a pipe to go to the sump. I recommend removing that as that will create noise when water goes down it. Lets see if that works

The noise can be coming from a few things. Do you have a gate valve installed on the main drain line? If not then the drain is trying to drain more water than the return pump is replacing thus sucking in air creating the gurgling sound.

When I remove the elbow it makes more noise are you recommending getting a different attachment? If so what type? Thank you for your recommendations

I'll attach a picture of what it should look like. I import similar tanks that have the same type of overflow. It shouldn't make really any noise.
