Noobie mistake, too much sand!

So when I got my tank in April I made made the noobie mistake of buying too much sand. And now I want to remove some of it. Ive come to the conclusion thats theres simply too much... Its almost about 4 inches deep.

LOL! If you decide to keep it, 4"-6" is DSB range (if it's sugar fine grain size sand) so should decide now whether to siphon the sand during water change or leave it alone to use it as DSB.
