One of the best things to remember being new to this hobby is that you will save far more money by taking your time and researching everything about what is interesting you at that moment. I cannot tell you how many reefers that thought they would save a buck by getting a piece of equipment or animal only to have to turn around and buy something else or worse yet have something die because you were unprepared, again and again. When it would have been far cheaper to have just spent the initial amount to start with. I learned this lesson well long ago, but it still creeps in all the time. I would rather miss a deal on something I did not fully understand than to save 50% on something I did not need or even worse something that did not fit my scheme and needed to be replaced.

Best of luck with this most addicting hobby.

Welcome to R2R! May I ask how you found us?

Just take your time and dont rush into expensive fish and corals right away. Alot of people rush and spend alot of money on stuff right away then it doesnt make it and they quit the hobby. Now that im a experienced reefer I can get away with stuff that "newbies" probably couldnt but knowledge comes with time. I started off with xenia and a frag of radioactive dragon eyes once i kept those alive I slowly moved on to bigger and better things

thanks
