I am pest free in my tank, up until today... is that bubble algea growing on my snail?! Will coral RX kill the bubble algea but not the snail?? I stare at my tank daily and havent seen bubble prior to this. Fyi i do have a bottle of unopened Vibrant, from my first hair algea outbreak, but instead of using decided to learn more and fix the cause of the problem instead. Will use vibrant if it will solve the issue, but also dont want to lose the thick growth in my refugium.

for what its worth, i have also been super careful about pests introduced to my tank, and remount almost all frags i buy.

one day i was cleaning my powerheads, and on 1 powerhead was 1 tiny bubble of bubble algae. i had never seen another bubble anywhere in the tank and have not since, so if i were you, i wouldnt freak out so much. Definitely get it out but dosing anything as a kneejerk reaction might not be a good idea.

you can use a scalpel/knife to scrape the algae off, even scrape a bit of the snail shell/coralline off.

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear its not worth over reacting!

Cheers
