I've tried clams several times throughout the years but could never keep them alive. A while back I installed 6 k7 III lights over a 6ft tank. Everything is doing great so I decided to try a clam again. I chose a Derasa mostly because I wanted it on the bottom. I added this clam on 12/18/22 and it had just the smallest band of new growth at that time. Recently it has really taken off. I know there are many lights that can grow clams but I just wanted to share my short but so far succesful results with these affordable lights. Not a great pic as lights just came on.
