Noopsyche Hybrid problem: T5 burns out after 2 weeks.

Hi. I have been using the Noopsyche Hybrid for the last year and was going great until a couple of months ago. It's a 4 t5 hybrid: 2 t5 on either side of the LED. On one side the t5 would burn out after about 2 wks of replacing with new bulbs. Please help and advise. Thanks.

Is one side controlled by one switch and ballast, and the other side separate? If so, I might replace the ballast with a workhorse or ATI brand.

I agree, I would think the ballast in there is cheap and probably the problem. If its burning out after 2 weeks id think some sort of voltage control issues. Replacing the ballast with a quality unit would prob fix it.

The problem is that NooPscheUSA is not affiliated with NooPsyche. Apparently there is some sort of intellectual property dispute of unauthorized production and retailing of the light. The NooPsyche on this form does not offer a hybrid light. As such, although there is some name confusion, @noopsyche cannot help. They have stated this a few times and have tried to warn people about the problem.

I wasn't even aware of this, I was thinking about the t5 unit. Yikes... I'll pick a different get up.

Honestly..i am hoping i remembering this right. Forgive me if I am wrong. I do remember some sort of NooPsyche dispute

It was my understanding that noopsyche usa was them, but aquarium low cost was not.
