I designed them so I didn't see the lenses when seated in front of the tank. So purely aesthetic.

I wish I could say they help grow coral but I would need to put a reflective surface on the inside or add an integrated diffuser to make those kinds of claims. They help me look at the corals. ;D

You can get some reflective coating for the inside - white paint or mirrors or something - and it will help direct the light into the tank more... Not sure how much it will add though but it is something I've heard of others doing.

Some folks are using that shiny metal tape (like duct tape but actual metal) on my Ecotech shades to redirect the light. They've actually ran the par and said it helps but they're demanding the fullest out of the magnetic mounts because that tape is heavy.

These are designed for the K7V3 and K7Pro. They have the same case so the shade works on both.
I’m not back in town till the 3rd though.
I have a ton of shots with the shades on my build page; also some videos up. I need to add more to the webpage.

Something like this? This is 50 mm down at a 2 degree taper from the bottom of the brackets. That's a K7V3/Pro light I modeled to ensure the best fit with the least obstruction for my brackets.

Hi!
I am. I'll always have a couple of printers down I think... Just weather related fun now! The cold snap has been messing with the larger things I print because even though the printers are enclosed, the ambient temperature is lower. Just more warping so I've had to throw more bad prints away.

Can you suggest a Noo-psyche K7 Pro III shade to go over a 20 gallon cube in my office (roughly 18" square)? I would love to purchase one from you if you could suggest something to minimize light spill. Thanks!
