Oh, and for what it's worth, I too am a DIY NOPOX user (as determined by a college professor and his grad students using NMR)....mix of 500 mls vinegar (5%), 375 mls vodka (80 proof), and 125 mls RO/DI water. Dose as per instructions for NOPOX.

Thanks. Grab yourself a toothbrush and roll up your sleeves. Pull off and scrub off and remove all you can manually. Keep an eye on your filter sock while you do it.

No...I got it years ago right from the professor who posted on RC...and had he grad students do all the work to determine what was in NOPOX by using NMR. If I can find the post, I'll link it in here.

EDIT TO ADD. For some reason RC is not allowing me to search...tells me I'm not entitled. Anyway, the screen name that did all this work on RC was shermanator. So if you can search over there, that's where it all came from....and RHF was part of the conversation.

Yes, I also dose DIY Alk and Calc (and Mag) using the recipe from Dr. Randy Holmes Farley. Here's an old picture before adding the dosing pump for the DIY NOPOX.

At the moment no just nopox
