Hi guys,
I really need some clarifications on what I done wrong.
Yesterday I added 1 ml of NOPOX reducer (Red Sea), as two days ago I had 60 pmm nitrates. When I woke up, my clown fish and peppermint shrimp and one snail were dead, but 3 hermit crabs and gomiopora coral were doing well.
1. I have added NOPOX remover directly into my tank near powerhead as done it 4 times before.
2. Done it at night.
3. all my water parameters except nitrates were stable and perfect (10 gallons tank).

I have removed my survived friends from my tank and put them into the quarantine tank.
What happened? and can I use my live rocks in my new tank after such fail?
I would be grateful for your thoughts.

You added 1ml per 10 gallons 4 times before?
Carbon dosing is gradually raised and dosed daily

I followed the directions on the bottle "add daily the dose, estimated for your tank". As it was advised 3 ml for 25 gallons. I made 1 to 10 gallons and added on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I thought it was my last time. Unfortunately it became the last((

It needs to start at 50% of the daily dose.
So should be .5ml once a day for the first 4 days or so.
Also carbon dosing really doesn't have an end if it is needed. it is dosed every day while testing at the same time.
Also proper skimming is needed to remove the bacterial flocks

Thanks for your reply and tips. Can I use live rocks from the failed tank in my new tank?
