I guess i misread the instructions. I added about 40 ml to my 180 gal. I was reading and a lot of people say they dose 2 ml/day? If so, i added way to much. What should i do

You might get a bacterial bloom, but you might not if that’s all you’ve dosed, so just keep an eye on it for a few days, you’ll probably be fine.

I would then start dosing as per the instructions, maybe slightly less and then increase the dose slowly over a period of weeks until nitrate starts to fall.

Just take it slow, it won’t work immediately and if you increase do it at around 1ml/day extra increase per week.

The proper dose will depend on your nitrate level.
For a tank that size, the maximum dose would be about 21 ml twice a week.
You could divide that up into daily doses of 6 ml instead, if you prefer.
Very important to keep a close eye on nitrate and phosphate and decrease dosing when these start dropping.
Also you must have an effective skimmer running for NPX or other carbon dosing to be effective.
