Noremac's 90gallon build

Alright, LARGE Update... I havent posted any pics since the last part of April. Since then, the tank completed its cycle, I have also modified my ato setup a few times. It now uses a hydor smart level, controlling a windshield washer pump from the local parts store mounted in an 8 gallon food storage container in the closet.

I have added a few corals and fish, about 25-30 assorted snails including margarita and turbo, roughly 60 hermit crabs (blue and red legged), and an emerald crab, chaeto to the refugium, and about 80lbs of more live rock. I also have started dosing calcium, magnesium, and alk on a daily basis, which the zoas and gsp absolutely love.

I gave up on building a canopy, really have not had time to mess with it, so I built a light stand to keep the top of the tank open (kinda wish i went with a frameless tank now). I also re-arranged the rocks again to bring them back off the back wall so the fish can swim through

New corals added last night..

Purple Tipped Green Hammer. The clear was on the bottom and got almost zero light in the donor's tank. Should color up soon.

Looking good! Great progress so far! Pretty inventive idea for the ATO. How's it working out for you?

It has been running strong for nearly 4 months. the washer pump has given me zero troubles. When/if this pump fails, I will look into another solution, but it was cheap, readily available, and extremely reliable in theory. Think about how many washer pumps survive 20+ years on a car in the elements.
