I have several large fish that like love nori. My issue is they want to rip larger pieces than they can eat off the clip that I have on the side of the tank. Is there a better way to feed them that won't make a mess when the pieces they don't eat get shredded by my Wav pumps? I thought about making some kind of pouch out of gutter screen. Any ideas??

What I've had to do for my tang is fold the sheet in 4ths and clip the side that's completely folded, so as to expose the most lose edges. Keeps him from ripping huge pieces off as much that get stuck to the overflow and never eaten. Innovative Marine has a veggie feeder that closes over the whole sheet of nori and they peck at it thru the holder. This would probably be the best bet for not having most of a sheet being ripped off and wasted.

I just keep folding it in half until I have a piece about 1.5 inches x 3/4 inch.

I used to cut my fish's nori into thin strips so that the fish could rip off a strip and slurp it up like spaghetti. Larger tangs can do this, but smaller ones will need short strips for it to work well IME.

I fold the piece of nori up until there is just about 1.5=2 inches of it and then cut little snips into it and clip it to the nori clip. That way when they rip pieces off the clip it is only a little snipit of the nori and only about 1.5 inches long. works great.

Ended up making my own cages. Works great. They took about an hour to get used to it but are chewing down now.
