I have been buying my nori sheets for my fish from the local Asian market. Like a lot of us do, I'm sure. It was brought to my attention by a fellow local reefer that I should be feeding the raw nori not the toasted. Well I didn't know there was a difference (I don't eat sushi)! So I checked the stuff I have been buying and it is toasted. Well ALL the nori in the Asian market here is toasted so when I got home I looked at Amazon and they had raw organic nori. Now what I want to know is what kind do you all use? Is there a difference? I was told that the toasted kind doesn't all the nutrients the raw does. Is it true?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

i personally didnt know there was a difrence. but i use toasted to from the market my fish go nuts for it. in the past i tryed using the seaweed with garlic from my lfs an they wouldnt touch it.

Yeah ALL my fish go crazy for the stuff I have been feeding (toasted). Even the wrasses and chromis get in on it. LOL

I know when you cook the heck out of veggies you eat, it drops the nutritional value. I guess the same would apply to seaweed.

i feed my tangs dried nori from the Asian store .. but i also feed my tangs and other fish off the veggie clip spinach broccoli lettuce and carrots then love it all .. then once a week i give them fresh garlic i crush it up .. it really helps out alot to feed them different things for there diet ..
