Nori just sitting in the tank. Does that cause ammonia spike?

Quarter of a sheet, but my fish rip it off and it floats in the waterDoubtful any significant or noticeable increase. How much Nori are you talking about
It’s floating because they rip it off lol. I guess it’s the way I put it on the clip. But they’ll go back to the clip for more. They don’t do floating nori lolIf the fish aren't going after it while it's floating, you may be feeding more than necessary.
It will rot and be a source of nutrients but no need to worry about a big ammonia spike.
I use a little beaker to get it out the tank when it floats to the topI've always ignored it. It eventually gets eaten or breaks down into nitrate/phosphate which my tank could handle. If your nutrients are out of control, remove it before it starts breaking down.
