Hi everyone, can anyone recommend some specific Nori that doesn’t flake apart after being soaked in water? I had been using Ocean Nutrition’s Frozen Prime Reef cubes and the Nori in it would stay together as softened, solid pieces. However, any local fish stores are having a hard time getting that food for some reason (out for over a month) so I’m trying to add Nori to other frozen foods that ARE available locally. I’ve tried a few different ones now, and they all seem to flake apart into a lot of tiny pieces. Many are somewhat transparent and the fish have a hard time even seeing the little bits.

I just get sheets of nori, folded and put on a magnetic clip. My fish tear it up. Not much at all flakes off into the water.

My Blenny won’t eat from a clip (I tried a couple times), and even if he would, the piece I would need to place in it would be much more than needed. In the frozen food I was getting, it was in small strips like confetti, and he absolutely loved it. I’ve been trying to cut sheets of Nori down to similar sized strips, but it just flakes apart.

How about pellets?
