Hey guys what is the normal or average size of a recordea? I've seen tons the size of a dollar coin, any larger?

That's about the biggest I've seen. They don't seem to get any bigger. Definitely not like elephant ears.

Which type Ricordea florida or Ricordea yuma? I have seen personally Ricordea florida spread out to about 5'' across as well as yumas. The average large size R.florida is about golf ball size smaller. I have had some yumas get really big but those were I believe much older polyps then what we usually see for sale....I have some yumas right now that are about golf ball size....So the big ones are probably not the usual size, I would say about 2''-3'' inches for yumas and 1''-2'' for floridas would be the average size polyps.

ok i am not crazy, my friend has a fl ric that's about 5 inches. i am amazed how big it is. i'll shoot a pic when i am there again.

yeah average, for fl at an lfs id say is 1-1.5" and yumas are around 1.5-2

I've seen floridas range from a half dollar to close to a dollar size. My largest is in between those two (splitting though).

Here's some that are about 3". The scraper is shown as a reference. It is a 3" scraper.
