Hello, I tried reef roids today for the first time. Some corals had normal moderate reactions and some did some unusual things. One Favia puffed up a lot. Another Favia gave off slime. The one that gave off slime is new to the tank and the puffed one has been in it for months. Is this normal?

Seems normal to me. The only thing I see wrong is the receding tissue in the first pic

Slime for me usually means there’s not enough water in the reefroids mix, add a little more water and the slime should stop. LPS ime usually does better with larger food particles so I try to target my reefroids mostly at my SPS, softies, and filter feeders. Perfect consistency for me is very watery but you can see a very dense amount of reefroids when you hold it up to the light. Should be a pale pinkish color
