This may not be a problem, but just in case I thought I would ask. First off, both corals are being fed every other day or so and both are eating with no problems. The green Scolyis is doing great no problems with it at all, the problem is with the orange one. During the day it starts to deflate a bit, instead of being inflated over the sides of the skeleton, it deflates a bit inside the skeleton, then you look back later and its back to normal. When I first noticed this, I moved it under a rock ledge a bit, not much but it is shaded a bit.

That is one thing I hate about these scolys. Keeps you on edge! There could be something causing it though. Is there anything nipping at it?

At best the only thing that might mess with it is a Emrald Crab, but he only comes out at night.

How long has it been since you moved it? Does it do it for really long periods and frequently or just occasionally?

I wouldn't worry about it too much if it isn't happening a lot. I noticed mine puff up and then pull in occasionally.

I just doen it occasionally. It is still looking good and am sure its alright, but figured I should ask in case it might have a problem. Thanks for the advice

I notice that quite a few different types of corals do stuff like this. I have never owned a scoly but sometimes my acans and plate will shrink up a bit and then later in the day they are fully inflated. There is so much we don't know about coral behaviors so I wouldn't worry too much about it. They both look really good to me.
