I have a halichores wrasse that was obtained from a reliable pre QT source and was put through copper power x 2 weeks and GC 2 rounds the mes-free in QT x 2 weeks at least. I’ve had in my own QT no meds for 2 weeks and once in a while the fish will run against the sand like in the video. Fish is eating very well and no skin lesions. I haven’t had any wrasses before so I’m it sure if this is suggestive of a problem or if this is normal wrasse behavior.
Thanks

My cleaner wrasse does the same, hits the sand right under the place where I normally throw the food in.
If it's not scratching on the rocks I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks everyone for the help. He’s doing quite well in his tank. It’s amazing their ability to tell time. He wakes up before lights on and goes to bed before lights off. There’s not much sunlight on the room. I wonder if they can sense the gravity shifting from the moon similar to how the tides work? Or if he’s stuck on another time zone! Quite cool

Hi @Reef AquaCult!

Is your wrasse still bouncing off sand? I have the same kind of wrasse who is doing the same thing and wondered if it was a disease or his behavior.
