I just bought this custom plummed tank with sump, as my first tank with sump. It seems really well plummed however the overflow is so noisy, the drain pipe isn't long enough to touch the water so it sounds like someone constantly using the toilet
Any advice on reducing this noise a bit please?

Also you need to have the drain line an inch or so under the water level in the sump. Extend the drain line or raise the water level in the drain section of the sump

Is the main drain pipe just an open pipe? Maybe look into maggie mufflers or diy durso. My hang on was an open pipe and loud until I made it into a durso.

Video doesnt load for me - is it just the sound of water splashing into the sump? If so, my suggestion will fix it. If not, I need to see what the overflow box looks like in a photo if possible showing the top of the drain setup
