My new Midas Blenny found a very unsafe place to over look the terrain! I have recently read a thread about someone’s poor fish that swam in during a cleaning and got killed when it turned back on.....this one is unplugged and in my quarantine tank....he just moved right on up there and found a very comfortable place to hang out, demonstrating it’s desirable shape as a refuge.

Yeah, my blennies love to hang out on/in the powerheads, I always have to check before turning them back on.

Good thing you saw it and watch out for it.

Threads like this are one reason why I never turn off the wave makers during feeding. I just use the APEX to turn them down.

My Midas blenny did the same thing, he slept there even before I took it out. He refused to leave that when I needed to transfer him all I had to do was pick it out of the tank and move it over (while it was inside a net for safety).

My yellow tang repeatedly picks at my wave maker propellar when its on the pulse setting (stop - start), while its running. Gets clobbered on his schnoggin. Doesn't seem to deter him though.

My first Tail Spot Blenny had a love affair with an MP-10 that was on. Needless to say the poor fish was killed and I was pretty sad about it. Replaced it with another one that I've had for years. Guess the second one had more brains than the first one.

He may have liked a nice little pvc pipe to hangout in.

I blended my six line wrasse 2 days ago with an mp40. I find the fact that they have so few barriers in the front of the fan to be extremely annoying. It’s honestly not a good feeling losing a fish like that. So keep an eye on the guy.

I’ve been stupid lost two lawnmowers blenny because of them going into my MP 10’s and me stopping them to feed and forgetting that they liked them needless to say I don’t keep them anymore

I noticed our cleaner wrasse going in the powerhead when I shut them off for feeding. I warned my husband to check before turning them back on but one day he forgot. Unfortunately, the cleaner wrasse was in it when he turned it back on.
