Not a Halloween hermit..

So I purchased this guy as a Halloween hermit...

ID please? He seems to sift the sand nicely.

Definitely a conch had one just like it for a few years. Very hearty awesome snail for your sandbed

Never had a conch but definitely looks like one to me too... hard to tell when you only have a shell and an eye to go by lol

The eye gives it away. And that little arm thing is its proboscis and that's a conch shell. Might have saved money buying it as a hermit though

I looked it up and yup that's what I have.

Problem is he can't get over the rocks to the other side of my tank...Guess I'll move em by hand every few days.

I paid 7 bucks for him.

I've had my Strawberry Conch for 2yrs now. Very cool lil creature [emoji2]

its a strawberry or orange lipped conch, just check his underside to see what colour the lip of the shell is, but be careful, they have a spike on the end of their foot to defend themselves with.
