It may sound like a stupid question, but in couple of months I will have to travel 5-6days and nobody can feed my tank. I have a rimless tank and for the moment cannot add a feeder to it (have to find a way).
All fishes are well fed and fatty. I am worried more about a pijama cardinal who eats only frozen food (so auto feeders will not help him), but also about a lyretail anthias - who require daily feeding....

2 tangs and blennies may find some greens on rocks

Should I panic or 6 days will not harm them???

not even a coworker? surely you know one person that can find time to swing by one time in a week to feed your fish. if not, maybe if you have a good LFS you can talk to, they can swing by and feed them?

With the anthias I would worry about 6 days. Neighbor? Pay a high school kid or junior high kid nearby?

I mounted a small shelf above my tank to place my auto feeder above my rimless tank.

Find a gf in the next few weeks.
Lol

Took me a few years...

But with an anthias - I would be worried about 6 days. If you are up to it, I would try to remove all of your fish and take them to the LFS and see if you can pay them to care for them.

I am married.... a new girlfriend [emoji1] ... fishes will be my last concern.

Thanks all. In the end will try to fix a feeder on my lights somehow.
That time is Easter holidays. Everybody will go somewhere or have different plans.
I hoped that is not a big issue as lot of new fishes dont eat for days once in a new tank.

How about a LFS...a lot of them service tanks.... You might be able to find one you trust to stop a couple times to feed/check out your tank out.

Will you have enough top off water to last that long? I'd definitely check with an LFS.

I will not start a new europe vs usa discussion but lfs.... they dont even take back a fish even if give it for free. Feeding may work as a paid service and probably waaay more expensive than a feeder. I will buy a feeder and will make some shelf to keep it. Even if a temporary solution.

Belgium have high humidity and evaporation is low. Normally the top off tank should be enogh. As a safety belt I normally add some ro water in the sump, so I will have some days before the top system to start working. Will be a small drop in salinity and then will be back to normal.

What about pet sitters? They come and take care of almost any animal... usually it's about 45 bucks a half hour.

I'll do it! send me some tickets. My daughter speaks french.
I promise not to touch your lights.
(I might meter them though:D)
