I just purchased a marineland 75 gallon reef ready tank today. I don't want to and don't have the patience to build a diy sump. also not sure what type of return pump I need for the sump, I have a few water pumps laying around but not sure if I want to use those. one I am using for my water change station that I might use. but looking for recommendations on sumps and pumps. for return water pumps the tank is rated up to 700 gph for return.

sump i'm looking at the eshopps r-200. I plan on not hard plumbing it. just going to use the hoses or lines that come with the sump.

pumps
water pumps I have are the sicce 1.5 pump, kedsum pump and Danner aqua-mag pump model 5.
also not sure what attachments I need for the return pump to connect to the lines that come with the sump.

for the skimmer not sure what to get. Im torn with red sea, reef octopus and skimz brands. recommendations please.

Congratulations on the new tank! I'm not sure that any hoses come with that sump so you may need a drain hose that could be similar to this:

Not sure if the return line plumbing is built in to your tank or if you will need a something like this (with a hose connecting this to a barb on your return pump):

As far as pumps, the Sicce 1.5 is about 350 gph and the Danner 5 is rated at 500 gph. IMO the Kedsum 880 is more in line with where you will want to be for a 75 gallon.

There are plenty of opinions on skimmers - I have always been a fan of Reef Octopus and they have worked well for me. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I had an eshopps hob skimmer. worked great for a year but after that. I had to clean it every few days to get it to skim again. the last few months I have been using a ro hob 1000. very happy with the performance. also have it connected to a co2 scrubber. not the best results but the ph is more stable.
