Hello, I'm fairly new to the saltwater world, I have a 24 gallon aquatop all in one that I've done a few tweaks to, nothing fancy, with a single ai prime for a light. I never went through a crazy ugly stage, but I think my knowledge base of freshwater aquariums has led me to too many water changes, depleting nutrients and causing a bit of dinoflagellates on my sand. I'm not going to stress too much about it, but I have avoided testing as you can get away with minimal testing in freshwater, at least I have, as your tank matures and is full of plants it's basically bulletproof. So the plan now is to hone in on the parameters and slowly deal with the Dinos. This is my first time posting anything to a forum, so sorry for the longwinded post. Everyone stay safe!
