Not really new but needing to re-learn

I don't know what type of power-heads I have or sump pump. They are from an older tank set up years ago. But I have 2 power-heads, a predrilled 110 gal. tank with a 48" LED light (a cheap one with just white and blue)with a refugium tank for the sump. I have only a skimmer and sump in it atm. getting ready to put in 2 - 200w heaters in also. So far my water is good and everything is growing and fish are doing well. But any insight into what I can do to make it better?

Better as in water quality? Or like better as in improvements for tank to make it stand out more?

To improve the tank itself. We have to watch our finances, of course, but what are the more important things to have first?

Well you definatly want to make sure you have good filtration. A skimmer is a must need, but it will make your life easier and fish healthier. Also a good clean up crew I would recommend as well once your tank is cycled and all your levels are good.

Thank you Dustinba. We had gotten a skimmer off ebay for $40 that is rated for a 150 gal tank. It seems to be doing okay though

If the powerheads are not propeller-based you'll want to look into upgrading those....other than that it seems like you have a good foundation - all the essentials. Assuming the LED is bright enough, there's nothing wrong with that either. (Get a $15 lux meter if you wanna check it.)
