not so happy with my coral morphologic order

I did a zoa pack order with coral morph. I am not to happy with it at all. I have a 90 gallon tank with 2 400watt watt radium buld and 4 ecozotic panerama blue led strips. The zoas i got first of all 3 frag plugs have a good bit of bryopsis on them, that was just a turn awat bt its self. Second of all only 3 of the 13 frags i got look and are colored the way they were in the photo. I know EVERYONE uses photoshop, but if i knew they looked lik they do i would of spend my moneyelse where..
I just feel proper colors of what you are buying and no bryopsis wouod be nice. This will most likley be my last dealings with collin

Sorry to hear about that, but many shops don't care too much about their algae problems.
While others tend to cut them as they are ordered, mounted on a fresh plug so they're pest free after you dip them and algae free from a new plug placement.
At least everything arrived safe and alive, again sorry for your order.

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment. But it seems awefully quick to judge these zoas when they were just delivered by FedEx 2 hours ago! Please do give the zoas a couple days to acclimate before judging the coral color. I know from experience in ordering aquacultured Indo-Pacific zoas from other aquaculturists that they usually arrive less colorful than they become after a couple of weeks acclimating. It isn't uncommon for the polyps' color to rub off in transit as they scuff up against each other and the sides of the plastic bag. NOt to worry though, they regain this color in a week or so.

We try to make our corals as affordably priced as possible. There aren't too many vendors that offer 13 different aquacultured frags for $85 ($6.5 per frag). We haven't earned our reputation by intentionally misrepresenting their colors or offering sickly corals.

I honestly don't think that there was any bryopsis on these Vice Zoa frags. Do you have photos? It is not an algae that we have very much of in any our systems. I just took a look at the 4 other Zoa Packs in the same system and there isn't a single sprig of Bryopsis on any of the frags that were inches away from the Zoa pack we shipped you.

In the future, if there are any problems with an order, we would really appreciate contacting us first and letting us work out a solution before airing your grievances in public.

Collin thanks for your quick reply, i will see what they do color wise. It was just shocking to see a few on point and a few not. I,will email you a pic of the bryopsis and let you be the judge

Thanks Mike. Based on what you describe (some being on point color-wise, some not) I bet that the color was literally rubbed off some of the polyps during transit. It happens quite easily, but they regenerate the original color pretty quick too. Be sure to put these zoas in an area of high flow, and preferably high light for the best growth and color.
