as far as i know there is no such magical product that makes reef tanks look spectacular by themselves they may help like 3-5% more but thats about it imo .. rest all needs to be taken care of before that 5% awesomeness shows up .

I have been keeping sticks for many many years. I have a 50 gallon with a 20 gallon sump. Running vertex skimmer and zeovit Reactor. I only have 4 clowns in the tank. I feed very sparingly and the tank is acting like I am over feeding. Tons of diatoms on glass I scrape each day. Just wondering when to expect the bio filtration to kick in. I am doing 2 drops of Pro Bio S and NP Pro

Jason, Try backing off on Pro Bio S and NP Pro for a few days and see if it clears. If your PO4 and NO3 are low, then dose lower. I have found that I have to dose down at this point, if not, I get brown dusting on glass and plastics first. When this happens, I cut my dose in half. If your NO3 and PO4 are really low, feed the tank more generously.
