I’m Just found this in my aquarium today. Everything has been good. Not sure if it’s from my sand sifting starfish or a hitchhiker from corals. I have dipped and checked my corals and haven’t introduced anything since mid March.

It’s a starfish those can be a nuisance if they multiply like crazy other than that it’s fine. Some days I’ll see about 10-15 of them everywhere and some days I don’t see any

Asterina star. A decent part of the cuc, but they can get out of hand. Some will even bother your corals. They got pretty bad in my 125. I manually removed hundreds, and finally added a harlequin shrimp. He keeps them in check and looks amazing. Only thing is that if the shrimp runs out of starfish, it will starve. Not too much of a problem in my tank. I think they reproduce as fast as the shrimp can eat them.

Harlequin shrimp will get rid of those quickly only problem the shrimp will die of starvation once it clears the tank of all starfish

Thanks everyone that’s what I was figuring. It was kind of hard since I’m at work and the misses sent me a picture saying look the we have a new baby starfish from the sand sifting star. Had her pull it out since I really don’t have any coralline algae and not wanting to take the chance on ,y coral right now since I can’t be there to get a good look.
