Just found this guy tonight after lights went off, I wasn't sure if it was good or bad and didn't want to take any chances. Can anyone ID it and maybe some info on them. Thanks in advance.

That's a bristleworm
Some say good clean up crew others hate them and will pluck them.
Be careful handling them they will sting ya. I moved a hammer tree in my tank and didn't see one on frag rock and i ended up with alot of bristles in my finger. Picking the bristles with tweezers didnt work so hot for me. Did a google search and learned that if you coat affected area with glue or cement...let dry and peel off finger they come out so easy. Then did a soak in vinegar or alcohol. Will post the link for info on bristle sting

Theres the before and after it stung me. I chopped the crap out of it. Heheheh

Hahaha, thanks for the ID, when I look up pests there's so many different worms and this one wasn't red like they show and even like yours so of course I'm my mind I had one of those terrible detrimental worms, lol, but feel much better now. Thanks again

Good part of your cleanup crew. They will ebb back and forth depending on your feeding habits. I just pull the big ones if I can.

If you really hate them, buy a 6 line wrasse. He will take care of em. Like the others said, not something to be worried about though.

LOL my 6 line must be so spoiled. I barely have any pods but Ive found 3 or 4 of these bad boys in my tank. Granted, theyre all too big for him to eat so maybe thats why.

Oh god....I pull those things as soon as I see em. Hate them-mostly because I know they will sting me lol
Yeah lfs lady told my boyfriend and i that we would definitely know if we ever got stung by a bristleworm. And dang she was right. If ya havent looked at the website link i posted...i would great info there
