Spotted something tonight which I haven’t seen before. A fairly thick (around pencil size) worm shaped critter. It is white, looks a little hairy, but with a “sucker” that looks like the end of a Strombus snail.

It’s retracted deep into the rockwork now, so no hard shell (that I can see).

Looking at crabs sticky, the closest thing I thought it possibly resembled was the Stomatella snail...but not sure.

+1 to Stomatella snail. Very good clean up crew! They have a little shell that is shaped more like a fingernail on their back. They are more active at night, I rarely see mine during the day. Definitely a keeper though.

Stomatella snail for sure.

Don’t know how it got in there but sounds like a Stomatella snail is good news

Hairiness suggests Abalone...but score!!

Not sure if 3 votes outweigh 1...but Stomatella or Abalone either way good news.

I must admit I get so excited when I see new life in the tank, and even better when it’s not something that’s going to destroy everything!!!

Thanks for the ID guys.
