(Not sure if this is the right form) I found this yesterday while doing a water change, thought that it may have been with the sand the whole time and never paid attention. Well just noticed a little bit ago it disappeared, any idea what it is.

If you can, but it usually gets cleaned up by other scavengers in your tank.

Odds are that the snail carcass has already been consumed by scavengers.
